Color

  • Color Marketing Group: The Color Marketing Group is an international association for color design professionals which identifies the direction of color and design trends and translates them into salable colors for manufactured products.
  • International Colour Association: The International Colour Association (AIC) is a learned society whose aims are to encourage research in all aspects of color, to disseminate the knowledge gained from this research, and to promote its application to the solution of problems in the fields of science, art, design and industry on an international basis.
  • International Color Consortium: The International Color Consortium was formed in 1993 by eight vendors in order to create an open, vendor-neutral color management system which would function transparently across all operating systems and software packages.
  • International Commission on Illumination: The International Commission on Illumination is the international authority on light, illumination, colour, and colour spaces.

Design

  • American Institute of Graphic Arts: The American Institute of Graphic Arts is a professional organization for design. Its members practice all forms of communication design, including graphic design, typography, interaction design, branding and identity.
  • Design and Art Direction: Design and Art Direction is a British educational charity which exists to promote excellence in design and advertising. Its main offices are in Spitalfields in London. It is most famous for its annual awards, the D&AD Pencils.
  • Graphic Artists Guild: The Graphic Artists Guild is a guild of graphic designers, illustrators, and photographers and is organized into seven chapters around the United States. It is a member of the international organization Icograda.
  • Icograda: The International Council of Design is an international organisation representing the professions of design.
  • Society of Illustrators: The Society of Illustrators is a professional society based in New York City. It was founded in 1901 to promote the art of illustration and, since 1959, has held an annual exhibition. 

Typography

  • ATypl: The ATypI or Association Typographique Internationale is an international non-profit organisation dedicated to typography and type design. The primary activity of the association is an annual fall conference, held in a different global city each year.
  • International Society of Typographic Designers: The International Society of Typographic Designers is a professional body run by and for typographers, graphic designers, and educators.
  • Society of Typographic Aficionados: The Society of Typographic Aficionados is an international not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion, study, and support of type, its history and development, its use in the world of print and digital imagery, its designers, and its admirers.
  • Type Directors Club: The Type Directors Club is an international organization created in 1946 specialising in typography. The organization’s objective is to raise the standards of typography and related fields within the graphic arts. The TDC supports research and education, and disseminates information relating to typography.
  • Hoefler&Co: Famous for designing long-lived typefaces marked by high performance and high style, Hoefler&Co creates the fonts that give voice to the world’s foremost institutions, publications, causes, and brands.

  • Adobe: Adobe Inc., known until October 3, 2018 as Adobe Systems Incorporated, is an American multinational computer software company headquartered in San Jose, California. It has historically focused upon the creation of multimedia and creativity software products, with a more recent foray towards digital marketing software. 
  • Pantone: Pantone LLC is a limited liability company headquartered in Carlstadt, New Jersey.[1] The company is best known for its Pantone Matching System (PMS), a proprietary color space used in a variety of industries notably graphic design, fashion design, product design, printing and manufacturing and supporting the management of color from design to production, in physical and digital formats, among coated and uncoated materials, cotton, polyester, nylon and plastics.
  • X-Rite: X-Rite, Inc. is a manufacturer of color measurement and management products, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States. The company also creates products that regulate quality in the processing of film and x-rays.
